Every Life is Olivia, Katie and Harriet, along with their families and hundreds of others like them. Every Life is the staff and volunteers in Kenya, Uganda and the UK, along with our boards of trustees and founders Nicola and Simon Neal. And Every Life is people like you – individuals, families, churches, businesses and charitable trusts that make all this possible through their generous financial support, prayer and fundraising efforts.
Our vision
STRENGTH FOR TODAY, BRIGHT HOPE FOR TOMORROW
From the slum communities of Kampala, Uganda, to deprived housing estates in the UK, Every Life is committed to seeing lives transformed. This begins when relationships are built, immediate physical needs are met, and people begin to experience God’s love for themselves in tangible, practical ways.
This is what we mean by strength for today.
This then enables people to begin to think more about the future. As we continue to journey with them for the longer term, they learn new skills, build supportive relationships in their local community and continue to encounter Jesus – helping them create a strong foundation for their future.
This is what we mean by bright hope for tomorrow.
OUR STORY
In 2009, Simon and Nicola Neal followed God’s call to Uganda. Together with their two children, they packed up their home and went, with no plan other than to love and serve those living in poverty. Shocked by the pain and suffering they witnessed in the slum communities and at the same time inspired by the resilience and resourcefulness of those living there, they longed to see these communities discover more of God’s love and potential for their lives.
As they continued to spend time with the families in the slums, building relationship and getting to know the communities, they soon began to discover simple, practical ways to offer encouragement and support. That’s how Revelation Life began.
Over the years the work in Kampala has expanded and so has the team, many of whom live in the slums themselves; we call them ‘Champions.’ These Champions work hard, firstly in seeking to demonstrate God’s love by meeting people’s immediate needs and helping them find the strength to face each day, whilst also equipping them with the skills needed to give them a bright hope for their future.
Since 2009, the charity has grown! We even grew into a new name: Every Life – which we feel expresses our heart more completely for the significance and value of every life we encounter. Our mission base in Kampala, Uganda now works in seven slums in and around the city, directly supporting over 1600 people a year.
